23rd January 2021

So Da Big BIG Boss Gerald not Da Boss Steve, sent me around to have a run with another lot of new mates. Not as many as or as good as in the Gosford Guineas apparently but a good stepping stone to see where I was at!!

Starting to get used to these metal things they call barriers, and I usually can’t wait to get the hell out of them, I don’t like them much and I don’t think they like me. Anyway, I thought I began well looking to the right of me as usual but wholly guacamole, there 5 friends to the left of me!! Where in the hell did they come from I wonder? Jessica explained after the race, this is what happens when you get a decent barrier you must look left as well as right! Right… RIGHT, thanks for telling me.

It didn’t take me long to quicken a little, take the lead and tell them to catch me if you can. Jess also explained that whilst I started favourite whatever that means I was not the best supported, What The!!

I have to say Jimmy looked good today, seen him sitting pretty at the 400m 300m and the last 80m taking selfies no doubt, so I must have done something right. Anyway, we hit the line, I didn’t see a line but apparently, I hit it and the race was done, just like that. Now that’s not fair, I was just warming up and starting to enjoy myself, blah it’s a horses life.

I heard through the grapevine, I am going to meet Eskimo’s next, that sounds exciting and intriguing as I have never met and run against an Eskimo..

Bottoms up, tootle pips and enjoy, I am off for some well earned oats!
